Responsibilities:

• Undertaking competitions which allocate funding to industry and academia for the development of innovative, low carbon energy technologies and business models;
• Monitoring and overseeing the successful delivery of these development activities;
• Great teammate – and contribute to a happy, inclusive and collaborative team;
• Engagement – building effective relationships with key people both inside Government, and outside in industry and academia;
• Advising, influencing and supporting policy development within BEIS;

Requirements:

• Background in science and engineering, and strong focus project delivery experience;
• Ability to engage, influence and work collaboratively with internal BEIS and external partners;
• Confidence in handling data, quantitative and qualitative project information;
• Familiarity with energy and climate sectors.
