Job Description:

Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing businesses grow. Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google’s key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

YouTube and Video Global Solutions is the organization that connects our customers’ needs to our global product and commercial strategy for video advertising. The team’s role is to develop a deep understanding of customer and market needs, translate those needs back into product and engineering, in order to build the best possible advertising solutions for our global customer base.

You will help develop and drive planning tools strategy, enable and inspire a high performing team, and collaborate effectively across organizations. As a strategic thinker, you will communicate needs, priorities, and a vision in a simple, structured manner.

YouTube/Video Global Solutions is the link between Google video products and sales. Our mission is to fuel innovation that keeps YouTube and Video free and accessible to the world. We do this by translating global market needs into meaningful product solutions that drive business results for content partners and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Guide annual planning, via product prioritization, defining top opportunities and influencing Product Management/Engineering on roadmap/resourcing, to help accelerate our video ads revenue growth and agencies develop even smarter media planning capabilities
• Develop a deep understanding of advertisers’ insights and media planning needs
• Design a holistic strategy for a large portfolio of insights and planning tools
• Provide coaching and guidance as a people manager, supporting their growth and clearing the path for team-wide achievement and personal growth
• Shape the future of our video planning tools landscape. Lead cross-functional projects, across organizations and markets, to execute on the plan

Requirements:

• Excellent organization, project management and interpersonal skills
• Commercialization and launch experience.
• Ability to be a self starter. Thrives in the midst of ambiguity, complexity.
• 5 years of experience in, or around, media planning, either through global business organization or agency/client experience, with a passion for the video ads business, and advertising planning.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years of relevant experience
• An entrepreneurial attitude with a focus on identifying the right opportunities and a passion for creating solutions to meet those needs.
