Responsibilities:

Based in the Highways Asset Team, we are currently looking for a Highways Structures Inspector, ideally with previous structures inspection training and experience in a similar area. The person should ideally have knowledge of relevant highway bridge design standards, guidance and practices such as the Inspection Manual for Highway Structures, Well Managed Highway Infrastructure – A Code of Practice and CS450.

Requirements:

As part of a small team within the wider Highway Asset Management Service the postholder will be required to undertake inspections of Highway Structures, supervising New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) installations and maintaining records on the Highways Asset Management Database. A fundamental part of the job is gaining access to all accessible areas of all bridges so the candidate will require a reasonable fitness level for day-to-day duties.
