Job Description

An exciting opportunity within the Planning & Control function in Submarines has been driving a steady transformation of systems, processes and behaviours over recent years, and continues lead both functional and cross-functional improvements continually enhancing delivery performance to our customer.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the Master Scheduler with Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP), ensuring that the assessment of risks, inventory and financial implications are approved by the value-stream stakeholders
• Assists with the preparation of programme or schedule proposals to meet known or forecast demands for original equipment, new spares, repaired spares or services from internal and external customers
• Support the creation of defined scheduling scenarios for business evaluation as well as modelling the effect on internal and external supply chain demand of these proposals, ensuring load & capacity impact is understood
• Coordinate the cascade of the major programme demand updates, and ensure supply chain responses are managed to support business impact evaluation.

Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of planning using SAP and/or ERP systems
• In-depth planning knowledge
• Excellent analytical skills – ability to analyse and interpret information
• Good problem-solving skills – ability to develop solutions to problems with multiple variables
• Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders
