Responsibilities:

• Manage a team (based in London & New York) responsible for external reporting, and consolidation of a dual listed business
• Ensure the impact of accounting and financial reporting developments is understood, that potential impacts are anticipated and managed proactively, and that this is accurately reflected in the Group’s external reporting
• Develop and maintain a strong system of financial controls using appropriate systems and controls, working closely with the Risk and Controls team
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure business items are appropriately identified, accounted and noted in the Group financial statements
• Management of the Group consolidation process, involving many companies across multiple jurisdictions and currencies ensuring accuracy, appropriate control, and adherence to the external reporting timetable
• Liaise with the Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting Technical team on relevant accounting and reporting issues, ensuring these are appropriately reflected in the budgets and forecasts
• Guide the Group in complex technical accounting transactions
• Work closely with external auditors

Requirements:

• Previous financial reporting experience of large, complex group consolidations
• Detailed understanding of international accounting and reporting standards, financial reporting risks, and control
• US GAAP knowledge and SOX experience are advantageous
• An accounting qualification (ACA/CPA/CIMA)
• Preferably have led or been involved with a new system implementation, considering the requirements, design, testing, and implementation
